Lemme guess, the original will be the same FS DVD?IMo the sequels just plain suck (well 3 is decent but not good enough to buy) but dammit TKK 1 deserves an SE but of course Columbia won't do that, they'll put out 50 DVds of lesser movies :( but not one good DVd of great movies :mad:

Karate Kid IV - HUh? What?

KK-I will sell like hotcakes. II and III less so. IV would just sit and gather dust. Probably why they're putting them all together - they think it's the only way to move 'em all.

How did they fumble not getting the KK (1) out during its 20th Anniversary year? I sure as hell hope KK (1) gets the proper treatment, it made Columbia a lot of money.

I don't care about the third and fourth movies, but if the price and treatment are right I might bite on this.

Hopefully they will be released individually. KK 4 makes Rocky V and Alien Resurrection look like the best pictures ever made.

Damn, I didn't know these were worth money. Oh well, I guess since I'm too lazy to ebay my copies, it doesn't matter. I'll just hold on to the OOP versions.

I gave up waiting for a sensible U.S. release and finally picked up the R2/PAL box set of I-II-III. They're bare bones, but anamorphic OAR.

It's not a repackaging.

Thomas Ian Griffith and Martin Kove made part 3 enjoyable for me. Guys were funny as hell! :D

Part 1 and 2 were pretty good, as for 3 and 4.....man what happened?

I'll throw my 2 cents in. I actually liked 3 better than 2. 4 doesn't even belong in this discussion or in this set, imo.

The main problem I have with both 2 and 3 is Daniel is such damn_wussy. It seems like he gets his butt kicked for the whole movie, but then gets one lucky shot in at the end. I guess that sorta happens in 1 too, but 1 had other redeeming qualities like a good script. Also Daniel does win his way through the tournament in 1. In 3 he doesn't even fight until the last match. Lame.

Whoever came up with The Karate Kid: Stupid Bike Edition, I really hope Columbia steals your idea.

let this set offer a remastered widescreen version of the first movie.

Hopefully they offer these seperately. Imo part 2 was the best of the trilogy.

I don't know why everyone is so excited about the OP's statement? He still hasn't given us any link or solid proof of its re-released. Overall, it's all rumor.
