^Coverart is up. I'm psyched. All of this news at once seemes unreal. An old favorite of mine... can't wait to pick it up.

Awesome coverrart. And yes, all this news does seem surreal. It's odd.

Awesome news, I think I remember talking about wanting this on DVD back when I joined almost 6 years ago.

So I take it that those of us who bought Season 1 and 2 pretty much got screwed?

That's exactly what it sounds like to me. Luckily I only bought season 1. Just haven't got around to remembering to buy season 2 during a DDD sale.

I only bought season 1 and while I enjoyed the show....I have no issues waiting until this is cheap. They made enough money off of me with releasing them in such a dumb way.

Yeah, I will be waiting until there is a great deal on this. I have enough dvds to go through, and now have worthless copies of Season 1 and 2.

hardly screwed, if those discs hadn't sold so well, Comedy Central wouldn't have been obliged to release a series-encompassing box.

That doesn't make sense. If the individual seasons were selling well, it would have made more sense from Comedy Central's standpoint to continuing releasing them as individual seasons, and then release a complete series set afterwards (with possible extra content to attempt to get the hardcore to re-buy). Skipping 4 seasons worth of individual releases would lose them money in the long run, since the per season price is higher for multiple releases (assuming, in fact, they were selling well).

I'm actually kind of confused by this. Has there ever been another TV series that has stopped in the middle of individual season releases to suddenly have a complete set come out?

Just ordered my copy from DeepDiscountDVD.com. After the 20% off, I got it for $68. After I sell back Season 1 & 2, I figure about $60 for 4 more seasons worth of content isn't so bad.

Since I couldn't find any reviews online, in case anyone's curious, even though it's not listed in the booklet, the Season 2 commentaries are ported over from the season release, as are Season 1's. No additional commentaries, and the whole thing is put together in those see-thru plastic stacking structures (not sure of the name, it's the same thing Boomtown was released in). Very very hefty box.

Re: Will "Dr. Katz" ever make it to DVD???

There has been some new Dr Katz material in the form of a weekly episode at Audible. Currently, the 8 episodes are all on sale for free.
