I don't know if you've seen it or not, and I don't want to 'threadcrap', but if you're thinking of buying this blind, do yourself a favour and don't.
It's self indulgant tripe of the highest order.

I haven't seen it. I'm just a fan of Vincent Gallo and really enjoyed Buffalo '66. I can't find a release date anywhere for the DVD so I guess it's going to be a while.

A Region 2 DVD comes out in Japan on December 3rd, but it will most likely feature "fogging" during the much talked-about scene at the end. No news of a North American release yet, but the film is currently making its way through arthouses in the US, so maybe a Region 1 DVD will be out next spring or so?

Of course, I wonder how many will buy it just for the blow job...

i thought it was a pretty slow film with a highly emotional, very intense, extremely satisfying payoff. also one of the best films ive seen this year. but with all that said, i dont think i will buy the DVD, its not something with much rewatchability.

Here are a couple of reviews for The Brown Bunny. I liked it, but it's not a film for the impatient.
