Murder By Death OOP?

Is Murder By Death really out of print? And if so, does that mean a better version is on the horizon?

I don't see it listed on any of the OOP lists on the sites that I know.

It seems to be available at most places.

Where did you hear it might be OOP?

Murder By Death appears to be in print.

I did discover, however, that Criterion's "Diary of a Country Priest" is listed as OOP over at hometheaterinfo.com (usually very reliable). Any time a Criterion goes OOP, that's usually big news...though no mention of it at Criterion's website.

Darn, the Diary of a Country Priest getting listed as OOP is my fault (I help maintain the database with Home Theater Info). One of my sources still has this listed as OOP and it gets flagged as such periodically when I do the automatic updates. I have verified with Criterion that it is in deed still in print....

Will fix this with our next update....

Still shows as in print (a major supplier has over 150 copies in their warehouse).

Any word on a price drop for Murder by Death? It's been out since 2001 according to Amazon. It seems due. It still has a suggested retail of $25. I dig this movie and thought about getting it when it first came out. But it struck me as the sort of DVD that would drop in price after 18-24 months. And I had a bunch of DVDs on my To Be Watched shelf at the time too. So I didn't see the hurry to buy.

I still have around 30 discs on my To Be Watched shelf, but I'd definitely pick up Murder by Death if I found it in a $10 bargain bin.
