yeah I mean the current editions are fine with me...but if they have commentaries with Jean Reno or Milla Jovovich or some great documentaries...then I'll gladly double dip...but if not...its all good...

More than likely here as well. Double dipping is one thing, but triple-dipping?

These are two of the few movies that I re-buy, but given Besson's aversion to SE's, I'll wait to see if the extras are truly worth an upgrade or just some fluff spread wide over two discs.

Leon has an isolated score I hope they carry over. Otherwise I'll have to keep the old version. The Fifth Element I held off just because I knew a SE was coming. Good news.

I wonder if they'll get around to putting either a Superbit or new SE of The Messenger out...I think its criminally underrated and very good...

I'll more than likely not bother with either. I'm not a big fan of extras and would rather just rent it once to see that material if warranted than sell and rebuy unless it is overwhelming in quality.

I'd probably only watch it another two times before a next gen version a few years from now so unless I can sell both and rebuy within a narrow margin I don't have a desire.

Hopefully Leon will include both versions though.

Agree 100%. In many respects this is a iflm that I place higher than the 5th element. Furthermore, given the fact that there are some superb R2 versions of it (Including the French DTS version) one could only hope....
In addition there are tons of extras available for a SE.

I'll pass on Leon. I'm getting excited about another release to just have them mess it up again.

I haven't purchased The Fifth Element yet so I'd be up for it. They could get Bruce to do a commentary since he's really not to busy these days.

Like a few others, I'll wait to see what's new with them. I own the Superbit of The Fifth Element and unless there are a ton of extras, I can't see buying a new edition.

With Leon, I might be willing to replace the one I have, if it's substantially better.

I'll stick with my superbit for Fifth Element. Leon I'll double dip on. Hopefully the extra's are different to the current version.

I doubt Columbia would keep the DTS on the superbit edition for this new version.

of course I just bought Fifth Element superbit...I don't really care for extras so I'll hold off that one...but if they do LEON right, I'll FINALLY pick it up... that movie is one of my favourites so i've been meaning to get it.

I've held off on Leon because of the audio problems and The 5th Element SB is going for $35 bucks here so this announcement is a very welcome one.

I'll probably double up on the Leon disc, considering it's one of my favorite movies.

Fifth Element, well...I just don't like it enough to double dip. I'm cool with my current version.

I won't be buying these. Sony will most likely issue these on Blu-ray soon after the format is released.

I've got the 5th E SB, but no version of Leon. So I'll definately pick up a Leon-SE. Would be cool to see what a 5th E-SE would be like.

Yes! Excellent news on both fronts. I've been waiting for a new version of 5th Element for a while. I was going to buy the Region ? version that had the taxicab packaging.

Thanks for the info!

Wait, is the Superbit Leon the only one with correct audio?
