So are most of you waiting on this DVD, or are you going to double dip?

BTW scott1598, you live in Nanuet? I'm in Bardonia. Glad to see that there are some locals on the forum.

I'm waiting on this one. Renting the first discs from Netflix to get my fill whenever I need it.

For me so far, this would end up being a triple dip for Vol 1 (counting the Japan R2 box set version), and double dip for Vol. 2. But for these great films, I have no problem at all owning multiple DVD versions. Bring them on!

I bought each volume on release day. The transfers look great and it's as I saw it in the theatre. It's not like we got a flipper disc or pan and scan only. We may or may not see an SE in August....and that's 10 months from now. If it's a movie someone doesn't love I can understand waiting, but it you really enjoyed it why would you decide to deprive yourself of watching it for almost a year, best case scenario?
I dunno, maybe I'm an anomoly. When a movie hits the streets I want to see I usually buy it immediately rather than wait for an SE, in fact in almost every case I wind up passing on the more expensive SE.....I buy for the movie and not for the bells and whistles.

August 5th is a Friday.

I believe they meant that NECA will release the figures with the release of the DC in THEATRES.

So, it's gonna be in theatres instead of on DVD (for the time being).

That'd be the smart thing to do.

Vol. 1 has one of my favorite DTS tracks ever! Worth the $10!

Until this actually hits the theatres and I'm in a seat watching it, this is just a pipe dream.
