Red Dwarf News - Series V Chapter update

Yes, wake up at the back there, I know this is the least thrilling aspect of DVD production - aside from the poor sod who has to put two discs, a cover and a booklet into 200,000 Amaray cases - but it's a still a job worth doing well. The Chapter Points for a DVD permanently fix how easy (or difficult) it is to get to your favourite moments.
So - should you prioritise key plot scenes, or the major funny moments? Do you include "Hand Over The Worm"" and "Group Hug" from Terrorform, despite the fact that they're only a minute and a half apart? (Well, no actually.) You've only got nine positions to choose from, and two of them are given over to title sequences and credits. It's not as straightforward as you might think, but here's where we came down:

While Series V and VI have nine points, just as III and IV did, the first two releases settled for seven - and it's worth noting that, for a while, V and VI were developed with an intent to have thirteen! Of all the seasons, these two are the fastest moving, the most densely plotted. Episodes turn on a dime, and for a while the chapter points were going to reflect that…until we realised that, frankly, nine was enough and it takes no time at all to fast forward a DVD two minutes.
Still, just as an example, here's how Demons & Angels nearly came out:

The greatest loss, obviously, is one of my favourite chapter titles - Red Dwarf3. Still, you can't have everything...
While we're here and on the subject, take a look at the screen captures. Notice anything? Okay, apart from Chris Barrie with his shirt off? Every chapter screen now has a 'next' option, which means that scene-seekers won't have to return to the main episode menu to get from, say, the end of Holoship to the start of The Inquisitor. (Still, if you don't, you'll miss the cool little details we've added inside each of the lockers!)
Deleted scenes next - now that's a list you won't to miss!
