The problem was getting everyone to do their parts because they had all gone on to other projects. When the first two EEs were being put together they were more available as they had come back to do reshoots, more scenes etc.

Looks awesome, do you guys think there will be a EE box set, because i have been holding off on buying 1 LOTR dvd just for that. If not i guess i can just but all three EE sets but a nice box set would really kick some ass. 50 extra minutes wow, will that make the movie like 4 hours long?

They are releasing an EE box set and I beleive it's expected to street the same day as the ROTK EE/Gift set/individual release. Follow the Linky below:
