Oh sure, pull my most half-assed review to date to make a point.

Besides, I'll take Neve Campbell over Teri Snatcher any day.

I loved watching this show as a kid, mostly because it didn't take itself too seriously. I think its mostly goofy quality is a plus, as well as featuring Bruce Campbell as a villain. Some really good episodes, and some ones I wish they'd never made. So, it rounds out at above-average. This, coupled with the childhood nostalgia I'm sure to get while watching this show again on DVD, is placing this in the "must have" column for me.

And screw anyone who doesn't think Teri Hatcher is hot.

She looking a lot better in Deperate Housewifes. Didn't care for her too much before.

Mathmatically speaking:

Superman 1 = Superman 2 > Smallville > Superman Animated (90s) > Superman (50s) > Superman 3 > Lois and Clark > Superman 4

Even though it's a blatant Buffy ripoff, Smallville is one of the best shows on TV over the past few years. I especially like their take on the Clark/Lex relationship, though one has to wonder how that will play out later with secret identities and whatnot...and I have to admit that some of the plot devices are retarded (caves and witches). Still, it's the only show that I watch regularly and is the only one programmed into the DVD-RAM. They seriously missed the boat when they didn't cast Tom Welling and especially Lex (name slipped my mind) from Smallville in the new Superman movie.

Lois and Clark, while not a "shitfest" is clearly the lesser of the two series...unless camp is just your thing.

I agree, it was a disgrace and a big let down.

This show did go on for a few seasons and I remember it being popular.

It would be a blind buy for me, as well would be American Greatest Hero. So....which would be better? Lois and Clark or Greatest American Hero?

I remember that I used to watch this show with my family alot, but since I was only about 5 years old I don't remember that much of it. Lately I have really been getting into the superman comics (and I'll admit Despereate Housewives) and I can't wait for this DVD to come out...

well once this season of smallville is over, I'm sure you can have another series that will destroy superman even worse then L&C.
Don't you thing that season 3 of Smallville did that good enough? But I actaully have high hopes for season 5 of smallville (if there is a season 5)... my only grip is that they should end smallville and start a new show called metropolis or something, but that won't happen because smallville is to close to the 100th Episode.

Nowhere near as much as the Burton/Cage flick was heading towards...

That was going to be bad. It sucks though that J.J Abrams and Keri Rusell left the project. As weird as felicity as lois lane sounds, its better than Kate Bosworth

This series was sorta fun for awhile, but it really went downhill after L&C hooked up.

i kinda liked the first few seasons (even tho' there were stinkers scattered about), but it started sucking big time when lex luthor hit the road and L&C coupled up.

I guess people seem to have forgotten the late 80's early 90's "Superboy" TV series. I wonder if that will ever be on dvd?

That show was produced by the Salkinds (producers of the Superman movies and Supergirl), so there may be some rights issues involved. They weren't happy at all with the WB releases of the Superman movies a few years back so I don't think we may ever see the Superboy show come out on DVD.

I read on another message board that Keri's audition was really awful, so I'm glad she didn't get it (and I LOVED Felicity). I think JJ may have been an interesting choice though.

On topic? Hm, I don't really remember this show that well so maybe I'll rent it.

Loved the show, but there were some things that I hated:
1. Cat (What a bad actress)
2. Some of the stories were super corny
3. Jimmy Olsen #1

But all the GREAT things far out weighed the bad.

And in my classroom:

Only Lois & Clark registers. The others are all zeros

Seriously speaking though, I just cannot stand Smallville at all and I hated the Bruce Timm Superman cartoon.

The Lois & Clark tv show was great fun and I think Teri Hatcher was the best Lois Lane ever. Also, whoever played Kents in L&C were the best portrayal of his parents, IMO.
