Is there a "Casino" SE in the works?

Since a bunch of Scorsese's movies recently came out as "Special Editions" I was wondering if anybody has heard if "Casino" will be getting the SE treatment?

I've been thinking about picking up an old copy of the original DVD release, but if there is an SE on the way, I will hold off.

I haven't heard any word on one, but it would make a great DVD to include in the inevitable Scorsese box set #3.

What a great film! Still holding on to the OOP disc in the hopes that we'll see a full-blown SE. Hopefully, in the near future.

I held out forever, but just a little over a week ago found the OOP version used for $12 and I caved!

FYI: There's an article in the LV Review-Journal this morning about the mayor, Oscar Goodman and his upcoming projects. He appears in Casino as himself and the article states that he recently filmed a "prologue" for the upcoming special edition DVD, so it must be on it's way

Here's the article:

How many flicks has Marty made with Universal (besides this and Cape Fear)? Are there enough for a box set by Universal?

Would we have to purchase the entire box set to get it?

Well, no box has actually been announced (or if one has, no details). But with the other sets, yes, everything could be bought individually.

At this point, this is all speculation, though.
