Wow. This is VERY good news.

I can give my current copy of "Dress to Kill" to a deserving soul who will later thank me profusely for introducing him to Eddie.

Already have someone in mind. Sorry.

I remember introducing my dad to "Dress to Kill." Initially, it looked something like this:

But after 15 minutes, he was hooked, and we laughed a lot that night.

Who is going to carry this and what's the price? This isn't just going to be exclusive to Eddie's website is it??

Of the 4 I've only ever seen Dress To Kill so it should be a real treat to see the other 3. I'll have to find someone to give my Dress To Kill to as well.

I'm looking forward to this. Of the four, I've only seen "Dress to Kill." I was a bit bummed when my preorder of "Glorious" ended up being one big tease, but it's good to see it seeing the light of day in this set.

Re: Eddie Izzard Box Set (R1) 11/9

Am I missing something here? I went to the link you posted and I see no information on a R1 box set. It mentions the 3 other DVDs being released (woohoo!), but I don't see any mention of a R1 box on that page or any other.

He has 2 links. You might've gone to the 2nd one. Try the one at the top. It talks about him going on a small tour in the US and Canada to promote the release of the DVDs. Even though it doesn't spell it out, I doubt he would be promoting/signing DVDs that wouldn't be playable in the country he's touring.

Right, it says that "Unrepeatable", "Definite Article", and "Glorious" are getting released on Nov 9th. It does NOT say anything about a box set being released, which is what this topic is about.

From the first link:

Eddie is launching a nine city in-store whistle stop tour as you guys in North American get the chance to enjoy some of his early work for the first time. Eddie's shows Unrepeatable (1994), Definite Article (1996), and Glorious (1997) are all set for their first release on DVD and CD (and for Unrepeatable and Definite Article, their first release ever in North America) on November 9 – the same day the in-store tour begins.

From the second link:

Universal have announced the UK Region 2 DVD release of Eddie Izzard's Unrepeatable, Definite Article and Glorious, all released for the first time on DVD here in the UK on 4th October 2004...All three will be available separately or packaged together with Izzard's Dress To Kill as part of a special boxset collection available for a limited period.

Now while the second link specifically addresses Region 2, the announcements are so similar I think the Region 1 box is a logical assumption.

Edit:

Regarding Unrepeatable, Definite Article and Glorious: I just saw them on the DDD web site for $11.97 each, but no box set. So maybe it won't happen. Since I already have DtK, that's under $36 for my own full set, probably less than the full set would have cost anyway.

Edit/edit:

Come to think of it, that's a pretty darn good price. That's 40% off list, and over a buck a piece lower than what DtK and Circle currently list for, and both of which have been out for a while.
