This thread also discusses Halloween viewing:
http://www.dvdtalk.com/forum/showthr...hreadid=386976 I won't re-list what I typed over there but I will add a few that made it into my line up so far. Flesh for Frankenstein Blood for Dracula Both of these were just plain awful. I don't understand the appeal for these movies (and, yes, I know they are supposed to be humorous at times). I watched these because they were just announced as OOP by Criterion and rented them to see if I should pick them up. I'll just say that I don't care that they will be OOP. Clownhouse - never saw it before, liked it (please, no Victor Salva/pedophilia discussion - save it for another thread) Hell House - I found this documentary pretty interesting. For those that have not heard of it, it chronicles a fundamentalist church in Texas as they plan & produce a "Judgment House" for Halloween. I watched Romero's Dead Trilogy for the first time in years last week. These get better with age, I like them now much better than I used to. |
