Platinum DVD

Has anyone else noticed they've recently been releasing TV shows as part of their cheapo collection? And some interesting ones, too, like the 'Ray Bradbury Theatre' and 'Starhunter' and 'Dracula-The Series'? I found them at my local Best Buy for only $5.99, and each disk has around 6-7 hours worth of material! Of course the quality isn't great, but what did you expect for squeezing 7 hours of material onto a single-sided disk.

No, I haven't seen those. Will look through the bins next time I'm there. Ray Bradbury for $5.99 would be worth it.

FYI, 'Ray Bradbury' has 13 25m. episodes and is listed as 'Volume 1'.

Perhaps they broke up a box set?

Is Platinum still putting their company logo on-screen during the movies? I bought their Blondie 10-movie box and found the logos a big turn-off...even more so than the miniscule bitrates.

I bought the Ozzie and Harriet 2 pack dvd from Platinum.
Quality was fair at best, and the episodes were edited. I guess its worth $5.50..just don't expect much.
I also bought the movie Prom Night from Platinum..its average quality...some scenes are so dark you can't even see whats going on. So once again, don't expect too much and you won't be disappointed.
