i know some people hate st. anger with a passion, but lets keep that crap out of this thread.

i saw this one theaters and really enjoyed it. even though the movie was close to 2 and a half hours, it didn't seem all that long. i'd guess as far as the dvd, my hopefull specs are
1:33 fullscreen transfer (it was projected this way when i saw it)
5.1 surround sound
commentary by filmakers and or band
disc 2 featuring deleted scenes
and maybe a 3rd disc containing st. anger outtakes that were breiefly heard in the film but not on disc.

Thread crap? Nope...

I gave up on this band long ago, but this film renewed my faith.

A fantastic picture.

In other news today, Paramount has revealed that they'll be releasing Jonathan Demme's remade Manchurian Candidate on 12/21. No word yet on extras. Also coming in December from the studio (street date TBA) is the well-received Metallica: Some Kind of Monster documentary.

It has been confirmed via one of the MetOnTour videos (from www.metallica.com) that there is a commentary from the band as there was a short clip of them recording it.

I'm not a fan of their music anymore but I heard that this movie was really good. My friend said that the film isn't about their music at all but the band member's relationships. I'm actually looking forward to seeing it.

no. thats the way the documentary was supposed to happen, had james not gone into rehab and the band nearly breaking up because of that.

for someone like me who has probably heard only around three (at the most) Metallica songs, I thought the film was riveting and very entertaining (if you can call it that).

Metallica?

They've sucked ever since Cliff died and they replaced him with Michael Moore and let George Lucas produce their albums.

Spoiler:
The ULTIMATE thread-crap! Saw and opening and I couldn't resist.

I hear that this is a really goo movie. Even though I am not really a fan of their music, I'll be checking this out when it is released.
