Guys, it's Mao. He has always been a reputable source of early inside information on this site, and when he gives DVD news, it's reliable.

Now, if *I* come in here posting DVD specs without mentioning a source, then by all means you should question it.
I'm not asking because I don't believe him, I'm asking because I review DVD's for a french canadian website and I also sometimes send the editor "news" to post on the website. If I tell him that my source is some moderator dude called Mao from DVDTalk I'm going to be sent to some camp for "re-education" and you'll never hear from me again.

P.S. No offense to Mao.

...or you could wait for the inevitable Superbit Release or the Deluxe Edition.

Yeah, but why wait Dave? Where's the fun in wiaiting?

The R2 German release of the first is supposed to be loaded and killer. Better than any other release (including the new R1) from what I just read on the International forum.

News that is copied from elsewhere I would guess.

And as far as a source...my guess would be Columbia Tri-Star.

Groucho,
Thanks!

Bill Geiger knows me all too well!

Folks who know me know I don't bother posting much other than a date, since that's what I get early.

In this case, I am privy to the information a bit early, but you may wait until Oct. 18th for the official announcement, if you wish.

No offense taken....

You are correct..it's loaded with features and includes both DD EX and DTS ES.

Looking forward to this even if it didn't quite live up to the original. Looks like a loaded disc!

Interesting. And ballsy, depending on whether or not they use real company names.

So when you told me Episode III would be available next Tuesday, you were lying to me?

Ouch on the price. I see Amazon Germany has it for much less but I am sure shipping might make it equal to dectetive.

True... in some cases there's a couple of dollars difference between the detective and ordering from the country of origin. I usually go with the detective most of the time because I can have the title in 2-3 days (media mail).

Is it common practice to release it just a mere 3 days after Christmas. Why not before?

Studios can't release every movie before Christmas. Someone has to be the one to go after.

Agreed. My four-year-old really wanted this. Guess he'll have to wait for his birthday (next November!)

The difference is negligable. After Christmas people have gift cards, presents they want to return/exchange, or even money given as gifts.

Why is the cover different on the 2 pack? Not that i'm complaining about Milla half naked, but still

I don't know but the aspect ratio is 2.40:1 not the 1.85:1 as previously reported.
