Wanted on DVD ~TWO FOR THE ROAD

Saw this film the other night on Fox movie channel. Really great love story with great performances by Audrey Hepburn and Albert Finney. Great music by Henry Mancini. Great European locations. My understanding is that it is on region 2 in the wrong aspect ratio. This film deserves better.

Couldn't agree more. It's one of the last Audrey Hepburn to see a DVD release, and one of my favorites. The story stucture is amazing.

This film should be part of Fox's Studio Classics series... with How to Steal a Million scheduled for 12/2004, we can only hope that Two for the Road will be released in R1 early next year.

Wow, for some reason, I could have sworn this was available on DVD in Region 1. But I looked and was definitely wrong about that though.

However, there is a DVD of this in the UK at least, if you're region free. The UK Amazon site has a listing for it.

two for the road and the african queen are probably the 2 most popular classics that qualify for the term "why the hell hasn't fox put them on dvd already"

Not sure who owns the rights, Sunday Morning, but you should also add Bringing Up Baby to that list.

Warner Brothers owns the U.S. rights to Bringing Up Baby, along with most of the original RKO films. Supposedly, they are planning to release it on DVD... along with the Astaire/Rogers films, a Val Lewton collection and King Kong...in 2005.
