"Landau" Calrissian?!

Watch the teaser trailer for "The Empire Strikes Back" on the bonus DVD. It's the one where they just show artwork and photographs. I could swear the narrator says "Landau" Calrissian instead of Lando. In the "Launch" trailer, the pronounciation has been corrected.

Am I hearing things? I thought it was a funny "blooper".

I noticed that too. The Narrator also refers to Leia as Leah throughout the trailer as well.

Yeah, those trailers/teasers are funny. Such signs of the times...

It sure sounds like Harrison Ford's narration.

I have a fondness for that trailer because it was shown after the re-release of ANH in the summer of 1979. Very few people stayed and waited until the credits rolled to see the special sneak preview of ESB. Those scenes had our minds imagining all sorts of bizarre scenarios for the next movie which would turn out to be untrue.

Yeah, if you had gotten the Star Wars Definitive Trilogy laserdisc box set back in '93, you would have noticed this blooper in the trailer back then too.

All of this is old hat.

Actually, even in ANH, when they say "Leia" it sounds more like lee-AH than lay-AH. By ESB, they call her lay-AH. Just something I noticed.
