I see them on eBay (all 20 eps), I suppose these are boots? Are there any plans for actual release?

those that are on ebay are bootlegs. there will be a dvd release of this. though it was offered free for download various places including cartoon network.com and starwars.com for a while including the alternative audio commentary and so forth.

the dvd will be out soon. also note that there will be new clone wars cartoons around the time or before episode III comes out.

I believe the DVD is planned for right before the third series airs (in late Spring 2005). It'll be the first 2 series (20 episodes) that have already been shown.

Are these any good? The best part (perhaps the only redeemable part) of Ep. II was the battle sequences, and the prequels are already pretty cartoonish, so I could see this working really well as a series of short cartoons. I was planning on picking this up as a blind buy when it came out on DVD.

I thought they were good. Watching them in 3-5 minute segments every night was pretty stupid.

But when you line them all up together and sit down for a hour to watch 'em, they're quite good.
