David O Russell's Spanking the Monkey?

With I Heart Huckabee's coming to theatres next month, the Flirting w/ Disaster SE that came out in the summer, and the talks and I think scrapping of the Three King's rerelease, DVD, and documentary, where is Spanking the Monkey on DVD? Who owns this film and what's the hold up?

According to Image's website, the dvd will sport a commentary from David O. Russell, a trailer, and still gallery.

hey, it's only $10 too. Haven't seen it all the way but it seems like a must-buy for me.

Defintiely excited to see this with how much I absolutely love David O Russel's other films. Been waitng to see this on DVD forever. Sounds quite different from his other work, though. What should I expect? Does this really merit a blind buy based on the writer-director alone?

I have the same question Flirting was a blind buy. hell every film of his for me was a blind buy. no regrets either.

I've seen this movie quite a few times. I think it is worth a blind buy. It's awkwardly funny. If you've read about it, then I think you have a pretty good idea plotwise of what happens. I don't want to say much.

When the Morphine song kicks in at the end, it's one of my favorite film moments.

I think it is a great movie, but not sure I'd recommend it as a blind buy. This movie is certainly not for everyone and a good deal less mainstream than Russel's other titles. I would recommend it as a blind buy if you enjoy Todd Solondz's films (which again, are not for everyone).

I'm super glad to see this title being released soon.

I agree that's why I said if you've read what it's about and you are comfortable with that, then I'd recommend it as a blind buy.
