Buck Rogers cover-art
And another note...no extras whatsoever...none, nada, zip not even the "sci-fi trailers" that were listed in some recently released menu shots.
I don't whether or not to get this set. I got the Battlestar Galactica set. And it holds up fairly well, sans the pre-CGI special effects, but Buck Rogers costuming and tech levels just doesn't hold up well with contemporary sci-fi of today.

I decided to pass on this one until a major price drop. No extras and a very large MSRP make this not a major get for me, especially considering how packed this Q4 is.
Plus, I have a strong feeling this show really sucked and I just liked it because I was a wide-eyed kid when it came out. BG is still very f'ing cool, even today.

I am thinking about getting this, but this was cheesy even when I was a kid. I remember watching it at a rather young age and recognizing some of the props from the JC Penny and Sears christmas catalogues' toy sections. Such horrible production values, and if a kid can see it, I imagine how worse it would be through adult eyes.

I was just thinking I'd definitely pick this up but they want $62.99 for it on Amazon. Not sure about that. If I can grab it for $45 or less at BB or CC I'll probably get it. Or I might try to pick it up on eBay later.

Wonder if they're doing the 1st episode/movie as a seperate release like they did with BG? To be honest, that's really the only episode I'm interested in seeing again.
Nice cover art, but the lack of extras does kinda suck.

Depending on the price, I'll probably pick it up. If it's in line with the other universal releases - A-Team and Knight Rider If not, it'll go on my Wish List for the next DDD sale.
