The film is just people talking - slices of life - all connected in a way. It's not great, but it's decent.

Got it with the Madden coupon last night for $27.99. Not too bad.

I couldn't find that Madden book when I went. Are they still there? and are they in any special location near the games?

Criterion has commited its fair share of sins over the years. Thankfully, snappers aren't one of them.

Plus, you get IT'S IMPOSSIBLE TO LEARN TO PLOW BY READING BOOKS, another great Linklater film.
Wow, I didn't know that film was included. I've been interested in seeing it for quite some time. That moves this release up one notch on my must-buy list.

Just received this set today. The packaging wasn't quite as awful as I'd heard (someone wrote that the book was packaged separately but no, both the booklet and the digipak slide into a slip cover) and the inclusion of IITLTPBRB, an addition I seem to have missed by reading the specs for this ahead of time, is just a super bonus. I'd have bought Slacker: CC without it, but having it included just makes the icing all the sweeter.
