The Passion

The Passion of The Christ is a tremendous film, but as for the lack of bonus features on the DVD, I'm kind of in between.

While I would have liked to see interviews, documentaries, and commentaries, I can readily see the point of those people who would say they would detract from the message of the film. Besides, I already have the PAX documentary and the Diane Sawyer and Raymond Arroyo interviews, so it's not as big a deal for me. Still, I would have liked to have seen more of how this incredible film was crafted by a man I think is a genius.

as for extras. I have faith that another version will be risen and on the shelf with all the bells and whistle a dvd can come with. The studio really just wanted to cram out one version out now because demand was big for it. Parting of the dvd shelf is in order because another version will come again.

As true today, as when it was written.

Amen.

I remember reading somewhere that they were planning to release a special edition around Easter of next year. Of course, this was a few months ago, so who knows if plans have changed or not.

You couldn't give me a copy of this movie for free, special edition or not. But I hope this helps.

Pick it up! Great film and the picture and sound are incredible. I would say near reference material. DTS track rocks.
