No fixed transfer = Doubtful sale!

If I find it at a store on Sept. 7, I will definitely buy it.

Dragonslayer, the new CE is going to have an Anamorphic 2:35:1 transfer. As opposed to the Non-Anamorphic transfer on the original R1 release.

I also got the E-mail from Amazon that it has been delayed.
Was your shipping free or not. Mine was free and i was wondering if that made a difference as to whether this shipped or not.

That's not the point. At another forum, the people that have already gotten theirs are saying that this new 16x9 transfer is of lower quality than the 16x9 transfer released in Region 2 a few years back.

I'm sure I'll buy regardless, but it would be nice to have a reference transfer on one of my favorite Trek movies.

All Best Buys should have received an email about sending these Dvds back to the manufacturer today, so unless they ignore it, BB wont have it

Mine shipped from Deep Discount DVD on Monday, so it should arrive after Labor Day. Finally, pre-ordering from DDD pays off!

Of course the canadian one is bound to have awful bilingual packaging like the others. Think ill just wait and buy one for US.

Long, long ago, Halloween H20's packaging listed a commentary track that wasn't on the disc. Eventually, the package was updated in future printings, but I doubt that anyone really noticed. I wonder why Paramount couldn't do something like this, rather than recall the whole damn thing.

At least I can still buy Dawn of the Dead on Tuesday.

Call them and tell them what happened. They have the best CS and I'm certain will send the rest of your order under the circumstances.

I found paid shipping was the difference for me getting a copy of the recalled Duel release last year from Amazon. Reason I know is because I had placed two different orders after I found out Amazon had copies available. First order I used free shipping but it was cancelled. Second order I opted to pay for shipping was received.

Fixed.

Has anyone seen the recalled DVD out early this weekend?I'd like to get it before it's pulled off the shelves. I don't really care about a misprint on the case.
