I thought pre-orders were shipped so that they arrive at your doorstep 'on or around release date'?

My email service is currently down - for those of you that received a shipping notice, does your online status still indicate PREORDER or has it transitioned to SHIPPED?
Thanks
Thanks

got my DDD shipping notice today. I hope to have it by the weekend. Can anyone that has it please post pics of the packaging? I want to see this "controversal" cover.

Well, I ordered Cannibal Holocaust yesterday (Tuesday, 10/25) from DDD and it was shipped today (10/26). I expect to have it on Friday or Saturday, in time for Halloween. That’s the good thing about living in Illinois, quick shipment from DDD – though of course I have to pay sales tax.

Did anyone order from DVDEmpire? They are still showing "out of stock - On Order" and I never saw them as being "In Stock". I think the status went from being "pre-order" to "out-of-stock".

jeesh, my order with Amazon isn't getting shipped out til tomorrow - with (now pointless) rush delivery and a weekend trip I won't be able to watch this until Monday.

I got #05982/11,111. Not a big fan of another damn digipak and this one is bound to crack and give at some point... It has a snapping lock shut system, don't think I've seen one quite like it. Other than the gripe about the case this looks like an amazing release... Can't wait to dig in.

So with this being so limited, I'm really questioning a blind buy. I remember seeing bootlegs of this at Wizard World when I was about 12 or 13 and being really curious, but sometimes I fear my days of horror love are over. When I bought Thriller, I was pretty disappointed having bought an exploitation film I would never want to watch again, and worry about the same thing happening again. When I bought Fulci's Zombi, I was too distracted by the horrible acting and typical Italian dubbing to even begin to appreciate the film. Can I even expect to like this, or should I just pass? I really don't think I'll have any problem with the film being graphic or gory, but wonder if the story and acting will be strong and intriguing enough that I'll ever want to watch this again after fulfilling my curiosity.

guess that number really has nothing to do...just that they spread the numbered editions all over, and well you had yours from a late batch..

Yes, I know. I was not complaining. I'm used to the #er's game...I've been collecting for years.
