As someone asked - Space: 1999 is all out, has been for awhile, in fact with a Megaset including all eps. A bonus disk was included in later versions of the Megaset having some restored eps found later on. If not in the one you get (like mine), A&E has the bonus disk available.

Yea, I agree, on EFC (Earth Final Conflict) I would love to have those first 2 seasons, but I did miss the ending 3-4 eps, so I am glad to get these ending seasons. (Got them at the ADV "firesale") I had seen most eps from the beginning but I want to finish the show (one of the few of these type that actually did have an ending, not a cancellation leaving you hanging).

This is where I agree with those saying that having some seasons is better than none, even if out of order or will never get.

Yes, I would love to have really cheap box sets, but the reality is not so, unless wait and wait and wait or get lucky (Target 5.99 sale or such). For some sets I am willing to pay more, others have to go to the bargain-basement, so to speak, or to an exceptable price point. On some I have waited and waited and then said decided to just go for it and looked for the cheapest. (Those Price Reduction Schedule threads are really helpful especially in this respect.)

Most times on stuff like Star Trek, I will try to wait out Fry's for a price-match at BB to get the Bonus Disks (worked for original series - has not worked lately for Enterprise (yes, some are like yuck, but I am sort of a completist for this series). Otherwise, I have taken advantage of the BN 3 for 2 sales and such to get other parts of Trek for close to $65 rather than the $100 price-point other places. Sometimes if you wait long enough, I good deal comes through (like Amazon's Voyager 7-season set for $326) and you get lucky (about $47/season). I would love them all to be that price but ain't gonna happen in this lifetime.

I would love to have Black Sheep Squadron but at this time it is not worth it to me to pay $30 for a half season (v1). $30 is too much for the McCloud S1-2, to me, at this point. Same for the Macgyver S2 set. Close to $20, I would pay - this is me for these sets. Obviously, from above, I will pay more for some sets. It all comes down to what is it worth to you and will you be satisfied with only part of the series.

Doctor Who, I will probably never own all eps - the later regenerations more likely than the earlier ones - more likely Jon Peetwee and Tom Baker forward, although I have picked up some of the earlier ones like Lost in Time Collection. Again all personal interest. The BBC is doing a good job is steadily releasing the eps and picking from all over the series, not just one or 2 of the more popular (like Tom Baker seems to be by far). So I give the BBC a good thumbs up.

I must be out of the loop on a lot of these TV show release dates because I got to the end of page 2 before I realized this thread was a year old. Only when I saw the date "9-3-04 did it hit me. BigDan, if you would have just waited a few days to revive it, I might still think it was new.

Anyway, Mr. Show is all out, and even was-almost-when the thread started (I think Season 4 was last September). It only ran for 40 episodes so it wasn't long-running, but at least it was long enough not to be released in one set.
