I would have prefered about 5 titles over this one, but still looking forward to it.

Thanks for the news.

Also I agree, there are titles that have been out of print for a while, and releasing those as soon as possible, well would be great and stop the whole bootlegging crap that goes on with Limited Issues on Ebay.

This will be a limited issue also so it will never stop.

Great! One of the reasons why I liked this as a kid: no singing.

(I actually don't mind old school Disney music; today's Phil Collins/Elton John stuff, though, is craptacular, IMO.)

Usually they release the Platinum dvds during October like they did with Snow White, Beauty & The Beast, and Lion King last year.

So is this a Masterpiece Collection? Or wasn't it mentioned that they were increasing the Platinum production to two a year?

Excellent, I believe that just leaves Cinderella to finally be released.

Platinums speed up to two a year beginning in 2005. Bambi comes in March, Cinderella in October.

What happened to Little Mermaid coming out in October 2005? Did it get pushed back?

Yeah, the Platinum schedule has been quite flexible, and still only the next two releases are supposed to be set in stone.

For anyone interested, I've posted Disney's press release for Bambi which has a bunch of information on bonus features:
