G.I. Joe season 2 part 1 - Euro Edit?!
I don't know if this has been discussed yet, but i picked this up the other day, and have been watching the first 5 part, Arise, Sepentor Arise. And low and behold, Rhino used a European edit for episode 5!
Instead of the team being called GI Joe they are called Action Force - which is the name for the line in Europe.
Also Sgt Slaughter is called Sgt Slammer.
The "Yo Joe!" battle cry was changed to "Full Force!"
Grrr, it just sounds silly for Cobra Commander to say "Destroy Action Force!"
And I'm sure Rhino would say, this is the only copy they could find, of course. Anyone else who got the DVD, notice this?

Does it have the same voice actors as normal GI Joe (Chris Latta for Cobra Commander and so on). If so - DAMN, that's cool!
'Sides - you should be watching in original broadcast sound. 5.1 indeed. Pfft!

I contacted Dr. Rhino about this back when this thread started and he finally got back to me:
"We've checked into the the audio problem detected by DrRhino. In this instance there was no fullcoat available of the M&E so Jim Markovic advised us to use an alternative M&E. We proceeded to build the 5.1 using the M&E from the International 1" with its corresponding mix. Unfortunately, the international version mix differed from the domestic version."
There are no current plans to update these discs. If you would like to exchange your copy for something else in the Rhino catalog (of comparable value; not including Rhino Handmade), please let me know.
