Futurama Vol. 4 Problems?

Is anyone else having a problem getting disc 3 to play? I picked it up on Tuesday, and disc 3 won't play in either my Philips 727, or my PS2 V4. I just got back from exchanging it at BB, hoping it was just a defective disc, but this won't play either.

Anyone else in my situation?

watched all the discs the other night and 0 problems. Sounds like a bad disc. Worked on my Sony and Panasonic players.

I watched all of my discs over the past few days and did not experience any problems with them.

I had a bizarre problem with disc 2 (if that's the one that opens with "Bender Does Not Belong On Television"). I put the disc in, and it went through everything, but there was no picture. So I ejected it, but then I put it back in to see what happened (I hadn't watched the menu load), but then it worked. But then, when I picked an episode, it went into "hold" (pause) mode. I hit play, and it went through the FBI warnings, then started an episode. With subtitles. And I couldn't access the menu from the episode, I had to chapter-skip to the next episode, at which point I *could* access the menu. Then, when I chose an episode, it worked fine. So I thought maybe I had just hit pause by mistake.

Ah, but it happened a *second* time, where I absolutely didn't hit pause. I wanted to watch a different episode, and basically had to go through the whole second half of that paragraph above *again*.

Oddly, after that, it worked fine.

I watched all of them 2 days ago on a Pioneer 563A, no problems.

How odd that everyone's works but the two I've tried. Wonder if there's a bad batch out there somewhere, or just my dvd players sucking?

I checked all four of my discs (I watched one full episode on each.) No problems so far.

My disc 4 seems to be bad. It gets stuck about 1/3 of the way through the "Three Hundred Big Boys" episode, which is the 2nd one on the disc. Other than that, the rest of the set plays fine. I tested it on two different dvd players, and it stops playing at the same spot on both. When I looked at the disc in the light, there appeared to be a slight dent in the bottom of it. I'm almost hesitant to exchange it because I'm worried about getting another bad disc. But I guess that's my only choice right now.

Just an update to my original problem: I went out and bought a new player (Philips DVP-642), and it doesn't seem to have any problems with disc 3, so I guess it was just my old player on the fritz.

I've watched the whole thing (some episodes multiple times) and had no problems.
