What's the difference between the Shawshank Redemption 2-disc Special Edition and the 2-disc Deluxe Limited Edition?
|
The Limited Edition comes with the soundtrack. So its actually 3 discs if you count the CD.
|
Plus some sort of "collectible book" or somethin' or other.

God, I hate Digipaks almost as much as snappers. The trays are so fragile and brittle, and once the hub breaks, you have no recourse but to put the disc in a keepcase and toss the crappy packaging.
Of course, THX-1138 is in a digipak. So there goes the theory that they're not using digis anymore. |
I was a bit weary about Slacker being the first criterion release to be distributed in a digipak. Though I would have preferred a double alpha case like Videodrome, the packaging is extremely sturdy, and I like the job they did with it. Comes with one the thickest inserts/books I've seen.

I did like the packaging for the Rules of the Game, but I would have much prefered it to be in a double alpha keepcase. |

Keepcases with the hinges on them?
Do you mean the Universal "tabber" cases with the two locking tabs on the side? |
I kind of like digipacks, none of mine of broken, and they are all in almost like new condition. The only thing that annoys me about them is that they are not all the same height.
