Futurama Vol. 4 - why the case change?
I, for one, really liked the cases with the cut-out holes. So, why did they go and change for the 4th (and final) volume?

Don't know if you're going to get an answer for this one, but yes, it's one of my only complaints about the set. I'll now use this opportunity to shamelessly plug my review...

Yes, but it destroys what would have been great packaging continuity.

I don't like the plastic cover. After living in shrink wrap for months the plastic is rather bent on mine. Slop101, are you sure it's supposed to glow. Mine sure doesn't.

HAHA, my bad... I mean to say WAS NOT crushed. Alot of them, if not 90% of them had some damage of some kind> This could have been only at Fry's though where I picked mine up.

The crush factor was tough to find at the studio store as well. But I'm glad with the case how it is. Really looks cool and reminds me of the Ultimate toy chest toy story packaging. I like it.

Now I have to send it back. Good thing I preordered to beat the rush.

cut all our UPC's off to get it.
Have no problems with box change.
Though I agree box continuity would have been nice.

I don't mind the packaging change, but the plastic slipcover could prove problematic if your house ever gets warm. There were a handful of Vol. 4's at Best Buy today that had very warped plastic slipcovers, probably as a result of being shipped on a truck with heat or something. Some of the other ones were fine, but there were some that were bubbled and warped. I've had the same thing happen to a CD of mine with a slipcover like that after I left it in the car on a hot day, so I'm pretty sure that's what happened. The packaging change itself doesn't bother me too much since it still uses the slim keepcases inside and still looks the same from the spine.

I dig the case, but wish the other seasons were like it... I was never a big fan of the hole cases for V1-V3.
But yeah, finding one in good condition will take some digging... I went through 10 or so until I found one that wasn't warped by the shrinkwrap...
