Okay, okay... maybe it's me, but I just don't GET what's great about this flick. Sure it's a little interesting, and the rabbit is creepy, I guess. But I even listened to the director's commentary with Donny participating and I think they BOTH must come from an alternate universe. Did anyone (unaided) get that Donny had "super powers" just looking at this? The Director thinks it is very clear from the start. (hence, no "spoiler" tags.)
Not to anyone I know.
I thought it was just fine for what it was, until the end, when all the funny little ends all stick out and you wonder what the hell it is you've got. Nothing comes together.
Just because you can't understand it doesn't make it smart.

I looked for this on Netflix, but could only find the non-DC version. Does Netflix ever get DC versions of movies?? I've never seen this movie and don't feel like buying it, because I'm thinking I won't like it. If I'm going to watch it, I'd like it to be the DC.

baw ha ha ha. Icey BURN lordzeppelin. You are correct. It's not out so Netflicks wouldn't have it.
and just because YOU can't understand it doesn't make it a waste of a film. The Directors cut points out a little clear what exactly is going on and what happens at the end better than the normal version did.

If you liked it, I assume you shared Donnie's outrage at being forced to agree with someone (the phys ed teacher) when he thought otherwise, when he was not permitted to speak his mind.
Alternately, you may have read some other message in some other timeline written by some other version of me and you're responding to that? Ask Frank. He might know.

Does this edition (or any later released versions since this is a nine year thread bump) contain the "Anatomy of a Scene" episode?
