Me too. If you have a lot of dvds, this could take a long time.

I am not sure if this is worth running 2 versions of profiler for. Am I missing something?

karnblack,

And of course it depends on the quality of the scan. I uploaded a "12 Monkeys" high-res scan and hopefully some of you guys are using it.

The "high-res" scans aren't really all that high res. But they're good enough. I mean, if I want to read the back of the box for a disc in my collection I suppose I can always go take a look at the back of the box.

I do tend to use the "Add Disc" function to search for things that I *want* to buy, though, and it's nice to be able to look at the back of the box to see if something really is anamorphic or not (and then of course check the DVD Profiler listing for it to see if the box is correct).

After reading about it on this site, I downloaded it and gave it a try. Took me a couple hours to entire my collection reading the UPC codes and entering the nubmers but I think it was worth it. I really like the program and even decided to support it by buying the "premium" registration (and thus downloading the new beta software).

There forum does not say much. I think they are going to see what the feedback is from the beta. They don't even have there online profiler connected with the beta version yet. But who knows.

I've tried it out. I like it, although I'd like to have a little more flexibility with the tags. Where did that '3' come from? I hate this keyboard.

I was lucky enough to get into DVDProfiler when I only had about 100 DVDs. That sucked entering them all in, but I've got over 400 now. That would really blow.

I never see you participate at DVD Pro, if you or anyone else want rela Hi-Res Cover Scans you can send me an email, if it's in my collection I will be happy to send. Hint to others I see here, like Big Worms, you know dvdprofiler.com has forums where you can find answers to those kind of questions.

As far as I know the simple answer is no, but you should be able to operate under Windows emulation.

Yes I know about the forum. Just trying to find out what people here have to say about thing like this. Does not hurt to post in multiple places.

Hi Skip,

Thanks for the offer. I may take you up on that.

I've been scanning in some covers that are hard to read in the current scans - I submit them, but rarely do they take mine, even though the scans I submit are clearer and easier to read than the current one. Oh well.

I don't really participate in the DVD Pro forums because I'm not really all *that* interested in its development. I use it, but it's not my only DVD cataloging system, and since they don't seem to be interested in adding the features that would be useful to ME (a Palm version of the DB, a WAP version of my profile page, wishlist, etc.) I don't have a lot of reason to participate.

If you did participate in the forums, you would know that all those features that are interesting to you are being worked on. There may be more reason to participate than you originally thought.

Jeez, can't you just download your on-line version of your Profiler collection into this beta version?
