Millennium Question

When does season 2 and 3 come out. Almost finished season one and I am hooked on this box set. Wish the show would have ran longer then 3 seasons. Someone help me out?

Season 2 has already been announced and is coming out on September 27th on Region 2. I'd expect it to come out around that time for us as well.

Fox has announced most (if not all) of it's October releases, so I'm guessing November, possibly December for Season 2.

I own all the X-Files season boxsets. But, Ive never seen Millennium. How does it compare to the X-Files? Is it worth buying?

For what it's worth, mike45, I never could get into the X-Files, but I loved Millennium.

It's a different show, much darker and doesn't really have any mythology episodes early on. If you like investigative type shows you'll like it, imo.

It tries to be like Seven done for TV w/ a splash of mysticism thrown in. Personally I liked it more than X-Files, the only down side is that it was cancelled before there was any real resolution to the show

Season Two is the high point of this series...Glen Morgan & James Wong became Executive Producers for Season Two (and Season Two only) and really added some life to the show.

"Jose Chung's Doomsday Defense", "Somehow Satan Got Behind Me" and "The Time Is Now" (One of the Best Cliffhangers EVER on TV!) are all right up there with the best of The X-Files shows.

I'm watching Season 1 now and man, this show is incredible. Can anyone embellish upon why it was cancelled (other than poor ratings?..or it that all it was?) Any heads up on the upcoming Harsh Realm?

Thanks guys for the heads up on Season 2. Consider my lips whetted :-)

The dimwits at Fox put it in the, IIRC, 9:00 PM (could have been 8:00, I don't recall) time slot on Friday evenings... That and Millennium was ahead of it's time, too dark for some people and too smart for others.

Quite possibly my all time favorite show... And, it had closure, at the end of Season 2. Should have left well enough alone at that point...

I agree. I never really saw the end of season 2 as a cliffhanger. I saw it as the end of the series. Then (fortunately or unfortunately, I'm not quite sure which), they seemed to defy the odds and get picked up for another season. By then, they had kind of drawn themselves into a corner.
