Hmm, interesting. Hope this one's anamorphic, since the original wasn't.

Dubbed in English???

So, they, what, finally deciphered whatever language Van Damme speaks and dubbed it for us?

Stupid question, but, what language was it originally?

Nice release, looking forward to this one.

Now if they could only re-release Time Cop, the current version is s**t!

Nice. I will add this one to my collection. Always held off on the current one out there.

I too would like to see TIMECOP get a new SE treatment as well as HARD TARGET. The only few VD films I can enjoy over and over again.

the cover is pretty misleading. Lundgren is 6'6" while van damme is 5'10". They look of equal height on the cover.

One may be short, and one may be tall, but their intelligence is equal.

actually lundgren is a very smart guy. He has a master's in chemical engineering and speaks 5 languages. And has an IQ of 160.... thats considered a genius. So your statement above is way off.
I actually saw him jogging along PCH in Malibu several months ago. He is indeed a built guy.

Amazon has done this to most of Jean-Claude Van Damme movies in the last week. I notice the U.K. and the German Amazon sites have been updated recently to least more specs about DVDs, maybe the U.S.A might be getting updated too? I know Korean web sites uses this to tell you the language of the audio track.

Screen : Anamorphic Widescreen 16:9
Audio : Dolby Digital 2.0 Surround
Subtitle : English, Korean, French
Dubbing : English, French

I hope this gets a DTS soundtrack like the overseas DVD.

from dvdfile

It may not be Alien Vs. Predator, but how can you argue with Lundgren Vs. Van Damme? On October 19th, Lions Gate Entertainment will unleash yet another of the classic double-dippers, Universal Soldier: Special Edition. This new release will feature a remastered 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen transfer and Dolby Digital 5.1 surround track, plus audio commentary with director Roland Emmerich and producer Dean Devlin, a featurette, additional behind-the-scenes footage, and theatrical trailers. Retail will go for a mere $19.95.

Excellent! And here I was just thinking what a great deal the bare-bones edition was at Wal-Mart for $5.50. Glad I waited...

Dolph has done some great movies, I always liked him.

WHATS up with that COVER?? Its horrific. The original cover is way better with the white background and blue light on the two of them.

Speaking of Dolph movies, what's that one where he's asked something and he says, "No, just out of bullets." Was that Red Scorpion??
