I was glad that Best Buy had a 2/$25 special with Jackie Brown and Kill Bill Vol 2 since I never got around to getting JB at release.

As has been said, the slipcase is sturdier than I expected. My cashier didn't even scan the box. Yoohoo!!! saved a penny

Look at the print ads for the DVD and you'll see this weird, scar-like serrated belly button on Uma. It's mysteriously missing from the cover for Vol. 2.
A lot of people don't like it but I for one Love her bellybutton.

Deals abound on this. I can't believe how cheap this DVD is going...heck, Media Play has been selling Vol 1 for $10.99 if you buy Vol 2 for $16, and a free poster to boot. So I got both for $27. Not too bad at all...

So did anyone order the case online? I wonder if they charge you the $7.99 that way.

I picked this up yesterday. My BB had tons of them. Decent case, but I can't get the back of the box to stay flush (where you tuck in the tab).

Did anyone notice they misspelled "California Mountain Snake" on the back of the box?

The spelling looks correct in the photo earlier in this thread.

It's not totally clear in the pic, but it might be misspelled "Cailfornia"...

Look closer...it's clearly misspelled as "C-a-i-l-f-o-r-n-i-a". I wonder if they did something like that on purpose. They would have manufactured enough of these that someone would have caught the error early on. I think they just didn't give a crap, since they would be giving it away for free to most people who buy the DVD.

Now, if someone has one spelled correctly, that's another story.

Same here. I have mine glued shut. I forgot to check it this morning. Hope it holds. I put a very thin bead of elmers on it.

I am ticked that the $5 off coupon that someone posted about on this forum that's supposed to be for buying KB1&2 at the same time wasn't anywhere to be found (at best buy at least). I held off on getting KB1 so I could see both at the same time, and I was (mistakenly) sure that there would be a deal for both on release day.

Despite that I've now got both and am now awaiting sometime in the future where I'll have time to sit and watch both.
Yeah my Best Buy didn't have the $5 coupon either. So I went to Target and they had the $5 coupon on their KB2 DVDs. So I grabbed a coupon off on of those and bought both parts at Best Buy and got the case free.

They gave me a little trouble since the coupon wouldn't scan, but since it was a manufacturers coupon, they just punched in the $5 off.

Yes, foolish us, wanting to own this now rather than 6-18 months from now......and for paying $16 today and owning it rather than renting it for $4ish......

Went to Best Buy yesterday... picked up V1, V2, & Jackie Brown, which I've been meaning to get for quite some time. All aroud for about 45 bucks, not too bad I suppose. The free box from BB has a fantastic front cover with the sword, but the back and the spine are kind of lame I thought.

I did debate about getting V1 and V2 for quite some time, and just caved in and bought it. Nobody knows for sure what's going on with the re-releases, so I bit. Plus if I ever do want to get rid of them, I figure... V1, and V2, plus the case, could pay for the Super-Edition if sold on eBay.

yeah, none of the Best Buy copies had any.

At Circuit City, some of the copies had them while others didn't.

At FYE all copies had them.

Someone else posted that Target had them too.

Mines holding good too. I've several DVDs with this kind of slip box. I might put the elmers on all of them. Makes for a nice solid square, whereas some of them bow out a little.

My Best Buy had three left when I bought it at around 2PM Tuesday.

I guess everyone got theirs during their lunch hour. They didn't have any left when I was there earlier tonight.

the Best Buy that I went to only had 2 left when I got mine. they were all stacked next to the movie itself. the case isn't too shabby for it being free and all.
