LOTR - EE 3 pack??
I see there is a box set of the 3 different LOTR moves (non extended) -- are there plans for a box set with each movie's extended version?? if so time table on release??

Probably around Christmas or Feb 2005.
I also heard something about genuine leather cases for each of the 3 EE editions next year. Just a rumor though, but this would be quite nice. I don't know how many New Zealand cows would give their life for LOTR, but I would certainly salute them in honor.

The post is referring to all 3 extended editions simply being packaged together in the same manner that the theatricals were. Not a brand new release.

1.) He never said that
2.) He said that the theater editions are deinitive Editions and the EE's are just extra toppings on the cake for the fans.
The original poster was simply asking if all the EE's would be packaged together in the end. Much like all the theater editions were packaged together and sold for about $55 or so. Not that Jackson would release other versions.

I bet there will be, but considering the theatrical edition package ended up costing as much, if not more, then buying all 3 individually, i wouldn't expect any amazing deals. However, i'm sure there will probably be deals around release time where the previous EE's will be a bit cheaper. If you waited this long, i'd say just wait a few more months.

One of my buddies who went to the Comic-Con asked a New Line Representative there if they are going to sell the EE's in a 3-pack and they said (paraphrasing) : "It's not being planned at the moment."

But since I was (apparently) completely wrong (on two accounts ??? I count only one), I excuse myself...
