sounded cool until I saw the price was 7.99 Bah! It would have been nice if they just bundled it with vol.2 at no extra charge.

They might bundle it with the purchase of both volumes. We won't know until next week.

Welcome to the world of anime releases, where getting a box to hold a series will almost always set you back $5 to $10 more.

Cool, I like the idea. It will be nice to have them together until some crazy 'real' boxset is released. and I double-dip :P

Yep, another damn thing I'll have to get... but it's cool-looking... and, hell, it's only money.

Interesting idea, but lately, I've been just discarding any bundling boxes that come with "saga" collections. I prefer just the keepcases on the shelves. The only boxes I've keep with my collections is the Jurassic Park set (only because I'm waiting for the eventual JP4) and the Indy set.

i dunno...its interesting, but since i have the Japanese version as well I would really want something for all three. With that I will just have the 2 bundled and then the Japanese standalone. So I don't think it makes sense. I already preordered from Digital Eyes, but will see if special with a Best Buy purchase, but I won't seek to hard.

Yup.

this case looks exactly like the box that came with the R2 collectors case.

Is this a bundling case, like a outer cardboard box, or is it a Double Alpha?

I think it's just a cardboard slipcase to hold both keepcases.

Can we assume that Best Buy is going to have some kind of sale where you buy both for a low price, and get the box free?

Finally got a chance to sit down and watch this last night, now I'm really looking forward to picking up the sequel and I'm going to try to get this box. Esp if it's the thicker cardboard as noted above.

Don't think my box sets of Vol. 1 & 2 will fit in that little case so I'll have to pass

Looks very similar to the cardboard box that came with the region 3 vol. 1.
