Disappearing Star Wars threads?

Can someone please tell me what happened to the two threads that were here just a couple of hours ago regarding the new Star Wars DVD's? I added what I think was significant commentary, and now when I go back to look for replies, the thread is gone. When I searched for my most recent posts, my Star Wars posts were not there. Can someone tell me where the threads went? What happened to what I (and others) posted?? Thanks!

More info: These links no longer work. What about our comments? How can they just get removed with no record?

Ok, this thread is wrecked. To prevent these arguments among those that love SW and are looking forward to the DVDs and those that hate the SEs and new changes and want the OT I posted seperate threads for each.

If you're looking forward to the DVDs, post here:

If you're pissed about more changes and no OT, post here:

Did you read the thread in the feedback forum?

Josh's plan didn't meet with expectations. He was the author of both those threads and as the author, has the ability to delete them. When he deletes them, the entire thread disappears.

Yep, those threads didn't work out at all, and were flooded with thread craps by the usual suspects so I deleted them. There's now a Star Wars DVD changes discussion thread for people that want to debate the changes/lack of the OT and a SW DVD info thread for people that are just interested in finding out what's on the DVDs, what's been added, etc. That seems to be working a little better, a couple of thread craps, one was reported and deleted by a mod, the other was just reported.

Josh,

Thanks for working on this - I appreciate all your efforts.

Unfortunately, I posted a message in your positive thread that took some time and energy, and now it is gone forever. Is there any way you can let us know when you are going to delete a thread in the future? I'm somewhat hesitant to post in your new thread for fear of it being removed due to threadcrapping or otherwise.

Thank you

Rooked

As I just replied in feedback, sorry, a few bad apples ruin the bunch.

Plus people bitch about having two many threads on one topic (especially SW) so I wasn't about to leave those two while posting the two new threads.

mod note: Josh one option to deleting is to submit a "report" to have the thread closed.

Thanks, didn't think of that at the time.

But probably better off being deleted as there were more rude thread craps than good posts anyway.

Probably a good idea considering there are already 2 other SW threads here and one in the Feedback forum...
