DVD's I'm pumped for this fall

Day After Tomorrow- decent flick should get a good DVD treatment ( Early October)

Troy- I thought it rocked and its like 3 hours so there will definetely be a 2 disc release, hopefully loaded with extras (Early October)

Shrek 2- awesome fun movie, first movie DVD was a blast, and so will the second ( Early November)

Super Size Me- great documentary, worthy or multiple viewings (Late September)

Spiderman 2-superior to the first in every way, should get a great DVD, the firts DVD lacked big tim ein extras though (Late November)

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban- Alfonso Cuaron's direction made this the best potter film yet, and the other dvds were great from the packaging to the extras (Late November)

Dodgeball- hilarious, stiller is great, can't wait for this one (Early November)

Star Wars- Episodes 4 5 6. Should be great, like the Indiana Jones DVDs, these should be similar and great as well. (Late September)

What do you all think about those movies I am waiting for. IGN.com has a great DVD sectio that constantly has previews cover art and reviews before most DVD sites do. I recommend it. To see more DVD release dates visit: http://dvd.ign.com/articles/511/511698p1.html?fromint=1

I need to see more movies. On your list i've only seen Day After Tomorrow. I am looking forward to it, but am hoping another Region does one with DTS.

The one i cant wait for most this fall is the Dawn of the Dead remake....it's been hell waiting this long!

baritup 07-28-04 12:01 AM

yeah that was a really great remake. I'll add that to my unoffical list.

Jackskeleton 07-28-04 12:38 AM

I'm glad to see what you are excited to get in the coming months. thank you for sharing. :)

hee hee, ok, the real non-prick internet forum elitist answer would be

Spiderman 2 will be amazing for any sound system. the parts where it's the lab scene will really have your sound system working out in a great way.

asianxcore 07-28-04 12:39 AM

off the top of my head:

Alias- Season 3
Dawn of the Dead (4 disc set)
Star Wars set
Boy Meets World- Season 1

Going to be a good year with solid releases :)

Al Padrino 07-28-04 01:13 AM

I was very disapointed with Dodgeball. Was expecting a million laughs, but just got a flat 90 minutes, with a few big laughs. Probably didn't help that I had just seen Anchorman, which highly exceeded my expectations.

I'm excited for August because there are less DVDs coming out then as opposed to the mad rush of DVDs being released until the end of the year after August :)

I just have too many DVDs I still have to watch.

I was really dissappointed with Shrek 2.

13 Going on 30 is big on my list. It's a bit juvenile, but Jennifer Garner is such a beauty, I can't help but love the film.

After that, LOTR Return of the King EE

Kill Bill 2

Upgrading my copy of Good Fellas

And a few others I can't recall right now. It's going to be expensive that's for sure.

Jim 07-28-04 10:58 AM

Well, technically it's coming out in the summer, but the one that I'm pumped up for is Magnum P.I. Season 1.

That isn't the problem. I just do all my posting at work. ;)

Just been buying a new house and moving. Not to mention I have a new(first) baby as of Fri. last week. :) So needless to say, breastfeeding every two hours isn't really a big enough window to see a flick.

I did see Spiderman, and was looking forward to King Arthur, I Robot and the Village. And to an extent, Day After Tomorrow. So I am looking forward to the DVD releases.

chente 07-28-04 12:23 PM
