MGM Home Entertainment has also announced a new special edition of Species which stars Michael Madsen and Natasha Henstridge. This Roger Donaldson directed film will be available to own from the 19th October this year, and should retail at around $14.95. As well as a 2.35:1 anamorphic widescreen presentation, the disc will include both English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround and DTS 5.1 Surround tracks. Extras will include an audio commmentary by Director Roger Donaldson and Actors Michael Madsen and Natasha Henstridge, a second Audio Commentary by Director Roger Donaldson, Producer Frank Mancuso, Visual Effects Supervisor Richard Edlund and Creature and Special Make-Up Effects Creator Steve Johnson, a sneak peek at Species III and the original theatrical trailer.

Species 3 is coming direct to video (last I heard)... with a DTS track, I am definitely all over this... Natasha's boobies will looks great on this newly remastered version Looking forward to it.

I might pick this up, if for Natasha's commentary only.
Pretty much all she did in the movie was prance around naked, and I'd sort of like to hear her thoughts on it. (This is a mild fascination I have, to hear actresses comment on their nude scenes while they're watching them.)

It appears MGM are pulling a Fox with this release, since its out R2 UK with a 2nd disc containing about an hour of extras. Including an alternate ending, not on the R1.

Is that right? Crap! I may have to cancel my DVD now and just go down my local and get the dvd, I thought the UK and American dvds were identical! thats crap if its true, I want all the extras!!!!!!! I was sure they were identical!

Thats what I thought as the American dvd was sooo cheap, but after a little thought I have just cancelled and gonna pick up the UK dvd on Ebay or in the sales, where it will be cheap, as MGM dvds in the UK fly down in price very fast indeed.
