I havent seen many really special Limited Edition dvds on many peoples photos, strange as I would have thought lots shopped abroad for many of the superb dvds out there, a few have like Njaal and a few others, but havnt you lot gotton into asia dvds much?

Not seeing any Alien Head Japanese Quadrilogy sets :) (yet)


Shelves are the big thing for me, the ones I want cost too much :( so my collection is a bit messsy at the moment and I admire some of the georgous shelves on display on these pages and people who make them I admire even more! :)

as i'm female i'm not that much into technics. i have a beamer and of course the boxes, as you may have noticed :D

than all the other stuff is at the board with the tv. but nothing really expensive besides the panasonic dvd recorder

the sticker is from my father (was originally his room, so you may wonder what these terrible couchs' and furniture have to do in my room. all from my parents. i wanted to buy new, but they didn't want to throw the old stuff away), as a souvenir from our 95 trip to texas. i would never buy such a sticker nowertimes considering your president coming from there ... but i would put a california sticker on the wall (besides the fact of the gouvenor) :):D

a 30 inch Widescreen TV, and those big speakers in front of it, yet to be hooked up from the looks of it and the sub...looks like a HT to me...just not hooked up... ;)

Ehh its just a replica off Ebay. Its made of full plaster/resin, and fairly heavy, pretty good copy, needs to be painted a better gold color though. Finding original Indy props are almost impossible. I do know this guy that has a metal Thuggee sword from ToD that I am trying to get :)

you mean the wooden box? that's the french gift set with figure, dvds, book etc. in it. the other stuff are figures etc. from universal studios.

I'm female, straight (considering that showgirls comment and what i had to read in other forums about buying that box :D), movie fanatic (in fact i love movies passive and actively), liberale of course (but that's too easy now with bush being president right? i'm really interested and will definetly be live on CNN november, 2nd ... GO VOTE!!! :D), NOT rich at all (i just work to spend it on stuff like that. but not verything o f course. i'm quite young and still live with my parents (i have my own big room), so i have more money to spend then those paying there own flat and stuff. )), and not more crazy than all of you guys, just have more money to spent on it :D

and i have a home theatre .. a beamer/ video projektor (it's in it's bag), a screen for the beamer (theatre wall? don't know exactly what you call it), a receiver etc. just not the most expensive ones as i'm not that a technic freak. and (as i watch most of the movies on the TV) i' ll get a new one at the end of the year (about 1m picturesize but shouldn't cost more than 1700$)

Amen brother. It is called money management, and priorities. While most peers my age go out drinking two-three times a week and spend their $$ on cigarettes, I spend mine on home improvement and dvd's. Oh, and location. Obviously if you live in LA or the like, spending cost of living will be higher. Here in KY, it isn't to shabby.

All I'm sayin is that if you got $7,000 to blow on DVD's...your pretty well off... ;)

But how do you arrive at that total? A good handful of users on here built their collections in '98-'00, when the average cost of a dvd could be had around $6. Under $10 easily. I used to average $6.25, but since the deals like those dried up my average has crept up to close to $8 per dvd.

that just seems like an average...I have a friend with about 350 discs and he said he spent about $7,000...

me I used to have around 1,000 and it was around $19,000...now I'm down to 250 and its about $6,000...those X-Files sets are $1,000 on there own!
