Oh the pain! The horror! It hurts me to see that we all need widescreen TVs yet we continue to overspend on DVDs!

smirnoffski, can you pm? thanks.

holy crapmonkeys! Awesome set up...got any bigger pics of the DVD's so I can see the titles?

ignition 10-27-04 11:34 AM

and i have a home theatre .. a beamer/ video projektor (it's in it's bag), a screen for the beamer (theatre wall? don't know exactly what you call it), a receiver etc. just not the most expensive ones as i'm not that a technic freak. and (as i watch most of the movies on the TV) i' ll get a new one at the end of the year (about 1m picturesize but shouldn't cost more than 1700$)
Am I the only person who thought she was referring to the 'beamer' as a car before this post?!?

bralph 10-27-04 11:54 AM

Forrest Gump seems just a tad out of place on that shelf...

Great collection - it's cool to see all the different collector sets that we don't see in R1.

Please be respectful of others' politics here - it's really not the correct thread for off-the-cuff Bush-bashing. There's an election forum on this site for that. Please no cheap shots (like Germany's 11% unemployment rate). :D

Yeah, I thought "beamer" referred to a BMW, as well.

Great collections, all - where'd that Evil Dead II quad come from? I'd love to get one.

Also - anyone else have any lenticular posters? I just got my first (an E.T. on DVD poster), and don't think it'll look good in a regular frame. Any ideas on buying or constructing a lightbox on a budget?

Cheers,

-the Jesus

"beamer" = BMW in American-English (slang)

Projector is what you meant.

It's cool. We're cool. I'm just getting really sick of the election - I, and I think most Americans just want to get it over with. And yes, people, go vote!

I actually just moved in with some friends and we have a really nice setup. Much better than before. I'll go ahead and post some more pictures once:

a) we get some more posters hung.

b) i get my tv mounted on the wall

c) i get a camera.

Man that looks cool, but do you have any of it in action? Preferably of it projecting an XBOX game? :)

Looking good man. Although your speakers are looking a bit tiny next to that screen. :D What size is it, 90"?

HAHAHAH Does this count,
appauling piece of crap of a film, but the Poster is absolutley amazing! I wake up to her everyday!

Its almost imposable to take a Photo of, but I tried you either get a fuzzy image or the light hits the panel wrong, will have to give it another try soon with my new camera, but basically its good old Natasha and she morphs into the Alien, its very nice, a lot better than the film :)

Korean DVDs with Korean movies are standing together and Criterions are sorted by spine, the rest isn't sorted at all. I don't have time to watch all of my movies so I can't afford time to sort them again almost every day ;) I sold 2 discs and got another 21 since the pics were taken, so you can imagine how long it would take me to sort them by alphabet or sth like that again and again after getting a new DVD :D.

I own 2 sets: the US and the Japanese Set. What you see in the Alien Head are the bonus discs of the US-Set (front) and dummy CDs (back). One of the 2 Sets standing on the shelves houses the Japanese Set and was included in the Alien Head Edition and the other one is the standard US release.
