Anyone know if the "The Grid" starring Dylan McDermott will be relased on DVD?

Does anyone know if "The Grid" will be available for purchase? It's from the producers of MI-5, one of my favorite shows.

"The Grid" is a dramatic new limited series from Turner Network Television (TNT) and the BBC that explores both sides of the escalating war on terror.

Mikael Salomon (Band of Brothers, TNT's upcoming Salem's Lot) will direct from a script by Ken Friedman and Patrick Sheane Duncan & Joshua Brand, from a story by Alexander and Friedman.

"THE GRID is an international project that looks in detail at a terrorist cell operating on a global level and a team of American and British counter-terrorists who are tasked to stop it," explains Gareth Neame, BBC's head of drama commissioning. "It's an ambitious project that explores what motivates and finances the terrorists and examines how international agencies must cooperate to defeat them. The drama looks at the defining threat of our time but does so on a bigger scale than is possible with shows like MI-5 and 24."

Too early to tell, but at the rate that TV shows are making their way to DVD, chances are pretty good.

This is a new one - asking about a show being released on DVD before it ever even BEGINS airing on television!

The question isn't "if" its "when" because the show was so "high-profile" and the raings where pretty good.

Seen some commercials for the series.

Is this any good? Similar to ABC's Threat Matrix?

I finally saw this series a couple of weeks ago when TNT showed all of the episodes consecutively. I thought it would be as exciting as MI-5 (Spooks), but the pacing was really slow. Anway, now it is coming out in a full-frame format..I think it was letterboxed on television. Too bad.

FROM DVDANSWERS.COM

Title: The Grid
Starring: Dylan McDermott
Released: 8th February 2005
SRP: $26.98

Fox Home Entertainment has also announced terrorism mini-series The Grid which stars the likes of Dylan McDermott, Julianna Margulies and Jemma Redgrave. The two-disc set will be available to own from the 8th February next year, and should retail at around $26.98 in total. The episodes will each be presented in 1.33:1 full frame along with English Dolby Digital 5.1 tracks. English, French and Spanish subtitles will also be provided. Extras will include commentary by Director Mikael Salomon and Executive Producer Tracey Alexander, a Factual Fiction featurette, a The Globe of The Grid featurette and some deleted scenes. Fox hasn't made the artwork available yet, but we'll bring you that shortly. Stay tuned.

Why Full Frame

Hope full frame only is incorrect. This was shot in HD when it aired in 16:9 on TNT so it would be kind of a waste to not be released in this format.
