Also would like to see the Ray Parker Jr. music video included. If I recall, Ray refused to give permission to include the video. Don't know why. But it's the song he's best known for and I'm sure he could use some royalty checks.

I doubt that he refused to let them use the video. I'm sure he has no say in the matter, especially since Huey Lewis sued his ass off for stealing the melody from "I Want a New Drug".

Wait! Wasn't it COLUMBIA who announced a grand new Special Edition of ANNIE...? Look what they gave us. I'd adopt a wait-and-see stance on this. What we really NEED before we get another GHOSTBUSTERS (which was good to begin with) is one truly decent release of OLIVER! and A MAN FOR ALL SEASONS and 7th VOYAGE OF SINBAD and THREE WORLDS OF GULLIVER, etc.

From: You have moved into a dark place. It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.
Huh. That's weird, since "I Want A New Drug" came out in summer 1984 and Ghostbusters premiered on 8 June 1984 - both right around the same time.
Since the movie and song would have been in production for at least a year before then, it seems most likely that it was just a coincidence.
And am I the only one not really hearing the similarity?

Anyway, I would double dip on this providing there's lots of new extras and less annoying menus. I love this movie. Takes me back, I guess.

Just curious if this new Ghostbusters 20th Anniversary Edition is still a go. I don't see any listing for it on Amazon and it was supposed to come this month. Was it pushed back? I would think they would want it out in time for Halloween. Anybody have any news on this?

I'm keeping my originals that I got for really cheap.

Every 5 years I guess we get a fill-in-the-number anniversary edition of just about any movie that has some renown. I'll pass on this one as well.
