Oh. My. God. This is great news, and I'm looking forward to commentary. Now the question is where is Soublie Indemnity? Who holds the rights to this (old OOP release is Image)? I must write a letter to get someone to put this back into print, or get an SE/better transfer! In any case:

EDIT: Hah I wish I could spell. But I have an excuse, I was drunk!

Hehe... Anyway, I'm looking forward to this set. I've never seen any of these, but love Soublie Indemnity. Given the low price, I'll definitely blind-buy this at Amazon.

So we finally get to hear Glenn talk eh? Looking forward to it. I really like his reviews, though is ideological I respectfully disagree with.

Geoff should throw a contest, winner gets to be on the track with Savant as one of those "moderators".

DONNACHA: So, Glenn, what wild shenanigans happened on-set? Eh?

SAVANT: Um... I wasn't actually there, but anyway...

DONNACHA: HAHAHAHA! Wild! Ca-razy! Hey, tell the story about how you got the director drunk!

SAVANT: What are you talking about?

These are some terrific films. I am especially eager to see Murder, My Sweet again. I love comparing Marlowes.

I couldn't find it up for preorder at Amazon, so I didn't start a STL thread for it...yet.

With the exception of The Asphalt Jungle those are really great covers.

And what's with the Keepcases? Is Warner reforming itself?

Those look totally cool. Not enough money to go around though. I will definitely pick up at least Asphalt Jungle and maybe one more.

I am so all over this set. Damn! My wife is SO gonna kill me. Let's see, I'm collecting film noir, war movies, westerns, movies from Humphrey Bogart, Jimmy Stewart, Kirk Douglas, Charlton Heston, and John Wayne, new releases, science fiction, TV box sets - she thinks I spend too much money on DVD's now!

But this collection is just too good to pass up. I'll just have to take my lumps and enjoy the movies! I may get bruised, but I'll still be able to watch the DVD's!

It'll probably be around $35 release week. That's not bad for five films.

Hell, for that price, I guess I can afford to get them all.

It's an amazing price for five good-to-great films.

Asphalt Jungle and Out of the Past are must see noirs! (And the others are good, too. Gun Crazy is just what you'd expect from the title.)

Add in a commentary by DVD Savant (and this "Martin Scorcese" guy, whoever he is) and it's an easy sale!

Love the fact that they are including films that were originally released by different studios such as MGM and RKO.
These are great films and a must have set for me.

Still no preorder info from Amazon.

Murder my Sweet is my all time favorite.
Now, if someone will release LAURA, I will be content!

My guess is that "Laura" will be released with Fox's noir line.

Laura was once listed as part of their "Studio Classics" line and then was pulled. It should appear soon.
