Nowhere Man, anyone heard anything?
Has anyone heard if this series is coming out? I know it's probably a long shot considering they cancelled it before anything was really resolved but it seems like everything else under the sun is coming out these days so I thought I'd ask

Did the show end or did they just cancel it? Meaning did they film a resolution? I mean it would suck buying a dvd set for a show that has 20 episodes of build up but no conclusion.
I think this show would do well on dvd much the same way 24 did. Easier to get into when you can watch them back to back.

WRT the show's ending
In part since it was unresolved that might be why they aren't doing it. Just like Space Above and Beyond could be fun to have but since they ended the series stranding everyone in space w/ the indication that a couple of the main characters were dead it doesn't make for very good repeat viewing

I guess it's too late now to film a TV-movie to resolve the storyline.
But damn, that was a good show. I was totally enthralled every week. And Bruce Greenwood RULED!

No news stories about it at TVShowsonDVD, so it might be a while, if at all.

The show ran a complete season. It was on UPN the very first year they were on the air. The show did come to a conclusion in that the main character finally found out who he was...
I guess I'm one of the lucky ones...I have them all videotaped

I recently came across the following.
Source A (no date on post, but appears to have been some time in 2005):
The tentative release date is currently set for the end of July.
Davis-Anderson Merchandising Corp. has the license from Disney to release the series on DVD.
The interviews are now finished, with the following personnel being interviewed:
Larry Hertzog - executive producer/creator
Bruce Greenwood - Thomas Veil
Peter Dunne - producer
Megan Gallagher - Alyson Veil
Art Monterastelli - writer
Guy Magar - director
Steve Robman - director
Michael Levine - director
Ian Toynton - director
Mike Sullivan - UPN exec
There was a bonus interview as well. Here is how it was explained to me:
Along with the [above] list of interviewees we are also including a bonus feature with an anonymous ex CIA agent who spoke to us about true government conspiracies, identity theft, memory erasing and brain washing. It was really interesting and a little scary.
Stay tuned, more info as it becomes available. The cover art will be posted as soon as it becomes available.
Source B (Dated April 3, 2005 - "Rumor")
One of UPN's earliest shows, Nowhere Man, may be coming to DVD soon, we've learned. The show starred Bruce Greenwood (St. Elsewhere) as Thomas Veil, a photographer with the negative to a photo that could expose the hidden agenda of a mysterious conspiracy. One day his identity is erased, completely! His wife (Megan Gallagher of The Larry Sanders Show and Millennium) doesn't seem to know him, his credit and ATM cards don't work, and now he's on the run.
Touchstone Television produced this series, and industry sources tell us Buena Vista has licensed it to Image Entertainment, who will produce the DVDs along with Davis-Panzer Productions for release by year's end. Look for all 25 epsiodes, digitally remastered, plus extras like deleted scenes, and interviews and/or commentary tracks from Creator/Exec Producer Lawrence Herzog, Co-Exec Producer Joel Surnow, star Bruce Greenwood and more.
Does anybody have any followup info on either of these? Can anybody confim any of this info?!

Great news, hope it actually happens. I was so dissappointed that UPN did not renew this series. It was an alternate show where I live as UPN had no actual affiliate and was piggybacked to the local Fox network. Came on around midnight on Thursdays, had to tape it. Wish I hadn't recorded over the originals. One of UPN's most intriguing shows.
Would really enjoy having this one on disc.

I would have thought there would have been another thread about this but I couldn't find one using the search. Anyone else pick this up yet? I've made it through the first 2 episodes so far and am glad to see it's held up very well for me.
