Paramount to release Fire in the Sky, Finally!!!
Digitalbits...
We've have some cool information from Paramount today. These titles have yet to be announced, but we have confirmed with the studio that they ARE finally in the works for DVD release... D.A.R.Y.L., Explorers and Fire in the Sky. I know a lot of you out there are interested in Fire and Explorers in particular, based on the number of inquiries we get about them. Also, soon to be announced by Paramount are first season DVD box sets of Happy Days, Mork & Mindy and Laverne & Shirley. Look for those Summer 2004. Better still, we've been told to expect Star Trek: The Original Series - Season One to arrive on DVD in the 3rd Quarter of this year
Hell yeah! I cant wait to own it. I hope its an SE but I wont keep my hopes up. I still find this one of the BEST alien abduction films out there. Anyone else in on this one?

"Fire" is a movie that needs some additional viewings before you truly appreciate it. I remember being somewhat bored when I saw it in the theater until they found D.B. Sweeney, then it began to pick up rather quickly. The spaceship sequence really was frightening to watch and almost a mini-movie in and of itself.
Speaking of which, I heard that they actually had a different director and crew work on the spaceship sequence than the rest of the film, which I would have no problem believing. Here's hoping they address it on the DVD!
Oh wait, Paramount! That means overpriced with hardly any extras, silly me!

I hope it has at least some extras. With the thousands of UFO docs out there, they could at least get 1 or 2 of them on there and maybe interviews with the real people who lived through it. Give me commentaries, documentaries, Anamorphic WS, and anything else you can throw on there.

Great news! Honestly didn't expect Fire in the Sky to ever be released on DVD, but I guess anything truly is possible. Those final twenty minutes scared the bejeebers out of me!
And the note about Star Trek: The Original Series just sounds sweeter every time I read it...

Fire in the Sky? This is wonderful news. I really like that movie and will buy it for sure. I thought I would never get it, so there goes another off my want but don't have list.
