I thought I would give this a bump for some questions...
The Animation Show played last year in Nashville at our wonderful Belcourt Theater and I had heard little more of it since then.
Now Cartoon Network is running a short spot on its theatrical run. Amazon list this title as unavailable, but people seem to be selling used copies.
The official site has dvds for order for 19.99 that are NTSC region free. Does any other retailer carry this title.

Well, that's an announcement for the 2007 theatrical program "The Animation Show." I wouldn't expect it on DVD 'till 2008, but the packaging for 1 & 2 does suggest that they want the DVDs to run as long as the show.

So, is anybody certain about the release plans for Volume 2? Only available in the boxed set? Available separately, but only online? Available separately in B&M locations?
I had seen "Rejected" online and gained respect for Don Hertzfeldt's work. When the second year's program was making it's rounds, I went out to the Drafthouse to catch the show. I ended up buying Vol.1 at the screening so I could have him sign it, and later got Judge's signature on it at a film festival.
Anyway, my point: I have a copy of Vol.1 that I most certainly don't intend to get rid of, and I'd really rather not buy the boxed set...for a couple reasons. First, I'd be left with a second Vol.1 copy that I'd have to sell off. And second, while I'm as anal about slipcovers and boxes for my sets as the next obsessed DVD collector, I don't particularly care for a boxed set of volumes 1 and 2 when more volumes are undoubtedly on their way. It'd be like owning a boxed set of Rocky I-III, with IV and V sitting on the shelf next to it. Kind of defeats the purpose if it's not a box for the entire collection, I suppose is what I'm getting at..
Anyway, long post short, I'd love to buy Vol.2 (mainly for the breathtaking "Pan with Us," among other great titles). However, I have very little interest in the boxed set. So, does anybody know if it'll be available separately, and if so...where?

I was under the impression that through the Animation Show website you can purchase Vol. 2 separately as that's essentially where you purchased 1 by itself, directly through the show.

Vol. 4 is getting ready to come to theaters, but what I want to know is:
Does anyone know why The Animation Show 3 would show the Oscar nominated "9" with their show and not put it on their Vol. 3 dvd?
