Night of the Lepus: Will there ever be a release?

OK, bet you thought you'd never see Night of the Lepus in a title here :-) Of course this is not a movie one MUST have, but this film hold a dear place in my heart. I would absolutely love to have it on disk.

Has anyone heard anything about a possible release? I*d even settle for a Mystery Science Theater version.

Killer Bunnies, gotta love it.

Jim

I can't imagine actually buying this, but I'd rent it. I saw it many years ago on a midnight movie showing and it was indeed a treat to behold.

"There is a herd of killer rabbits headed this way and we desperately need your help!"

How can you not love a movie with dialogue like that?

hehe, i'd jump at it as well, I think its a classic of bad everything. I love the stock footage of rabbits hopping around the tonka trunks :-) hehehe. I'd buy it merely for DeForest Kelly. That is way too cool.

It looks as if it's nothing more than a basement bootlegger slapping old video tapings onto disc....

"DVD-R titles listed on this site are from a collection of the best and most difficult to find cinematic rarities we hope you will enjoy as much as we do. All titles are transferred from extremely rare sources (i.e. old TV broadcasts, film to video transfers, foreign imports) that have never been released to the American (and/or International) public, or they are out of print. No rights are given or implied for all titles we reproduce. Please be aware that we are the only source for many titles, and for extremely hard to obtain works (ex. old tv broadcasts) the quality may not be absolutely perfect. For this reason, we give every title we sell a quality rating.
Quality Ratings Breakdown:
[A] Excellent -- Taken directly from a master source with very sharp picture and audio.
[B] Very Good/Good -- Generally has strong picture and audio, with slight loss.
Mainly 1st or 2nd generation copies and PAL/Secam transfers.
[C] Good/Fair --More often than not, these are 3rd generation copies.
Picture quality could be soft or have some glitches, but is overall watchable."

yeah, does kinda look like that. What a bummer. Well, hopefully it will get a release some day. DO you know if the source materials are intact. I can imagine why no studio would want to admit owning the rights to this, but some films are so bad they come out good.

I'll pee my pants in excitement if Night of the Lepus ever gets released.

One of the worst movies ever. A must own in my opinion.

They used to have some of the miniature sets on display as part of the tour at Old Tucson in Arizona, where it was filmed.

Finally - people don't believe me when I try to describe this - now I can make them suffer through it with me. Really nice of WB to pull this one out of the hat.

LOL, I've always wanted this on Disc, but never occured to me.... 3 disc directors cut. Great idea!. I had actually given up on a release of this so quite please. I'll probably pic up the other releases coming out the same day. I thought this was only coming in a 5 dvd box set originally.
