There's a few on my wish list that I'm not holding my breath for.

Meridian: Kiss of the Beast - Sherilyn Fenn stars in this Full Moon direct to video take on Beauty and the Beast

Mindwalk - Sam Waterson, Liv Ullmann and John Heard star as three people who spend a day in Mont. St. Michael, France talking about how to change the world

Perils of Gwendoline in the Land of the Yik Yak - Tawny Kitaen in a classic B movie rip-off of Raiders of the Lost Ark/Romancing the Stone

Watch It - Peter Gallagher, John C. McGinley; A somewhat funny film with one great scene (on the porch) and some classic practical jokes.

And I'm surprised no one's mentioned Song of the South yet.

No, no, no, silly. That movie is called Clifford and it is not yet available on DVD.

And rightfully so.

As good as, and arguably better than, Two Moon Junction. (I like her slightly better as a brunette.)

Some less than stellar titles have come out lately, owing largely to the presence of Julianne Moore in them, (I'm talking to you, Roommates and I'll Take Manhattan) and similar stuff is in the pipe (The Gun In Betty Lou's Handbag).

I could do with releases for unlikely stuff like Chicago Cab, The Last To Go and Cast A Deadly Spell, though those seem somewhat unlikely.

(I take it as likely that we'll eventually see Short Cuts and Surviving Picasso.)

I also think we've pretty well established in past threads than a lot of TV movies are of a very low priority, which is too bad. (I've seen Out of the Darkness, and it would be an excellent addition to anyone's Sheen collection.)

Lifetime needs it's own DVD imprint. I'd probably buy at least a few of the titles they run nonstop on LMN.

God help me.

No kidding! This is a great film. If people are going to be crushed by this movie, then I know the perfect solution...umm, don't buy/watch it!!!

Oh, and for all the people who say, "But it's a cartoon and it might warp the fragile wittle children," well, I have solution for that too....umm, it's called FREAKING PARENTAL SUPERVISION!!!! I mean, South Park is a cartoon. Should we ban that because it is offensive to some and they do not want their kids watching it?? NO. Parents just should be parents. Know what your kids are watching.

If Song of the South is evil and offensive, then why should we see "Gone With The Wind"? As a matter of fact, why don't we try to ban every film that shows anything that is considered offensive by a grou of people? Brilliant idea. Hey, the Charlie Chan festival got canned due to the PC-police. Man, we need to go through art museums too and cover every painting that shows anything offensive.

Sorry for the rant. I hate the kind of stupidity that is keeping this film from being released. It is truly a beautiful film in my opinion.

nope, on another forum a while back there was a chat with Warner Bros, and they said the "classic" sequels are coming,

when?

Your guess is as good as mine.

Many of the Terence Hill/Bud Spencer pairings probably won't even see the other region formats, never mind a U.S. release(Crimebusters, Watch Out We're Mad, etc) and Super Fuzz(sans Spencer).

I would imagine Police Squad could happen at some point, but I'm making no plans to dump my VHS of those beauties.

The "B" est of the "B" movies in the 80's, the "Up All Night" faire, like "Jocks", "Party Camp" and your other crappy teen romps that were our vehicles for nudity prior to this new fangled internet. It's a shame to think of these lost to the sands of time, much like many biker films of the late 60's that never saw VHS.

And with that in mind, I doubt we'll ever see a classic like "Electra Glide in Blue".

Nightmare Alley (1947) with Tyrone Power, based on the great William Lindsay Gresham novel. This never even made it to an official VHS release as far as I know.

I suppose legal problems could do the same thing. The Other, from '72 is one of my all-time fav horror films....ignored for the most part. but I still think it will get here....just have to wait. and if it's bare-bones...so be it.
You beat me to it.

Yes, the reels of the entire motion picture continue to remain missing, but there were enough stills/photos of the movie to re-create a narrative slideshow of it. And that's the version that will be on DVD soon....Unless we're in for a total surprise come Halloween!

Although I wasn't a giant fan of it, I sure wouldn't mind seeing The Mouse and his Child get released on DVD.

I saw that when it was out at the theater. It was so chopped up it was almost incoherent. I don't know if it was released that way or if my local theater edited out some of it (or lost an entire reel) I would like to see a director's cut.

The only scene I remember is the topless slavegirls pulling the chariots. Classic.

surprised various david lynch references havent come up yet. #1 on the list of "never will happen" has got to be an extended directors cut of Dune complete with full length directors commentary.

'Chopping Mall' will most likely never be available due to a rights dispute. Too bad, since a commentary was recorded. Same with 'Night Of The Comet' from what I hear.

Whoooooah there cowboy. As much as I hate to interrupt any rant that's from the heart, the "cry-babies" of the NAACP have never actually attempted to keep this movie from being released, and have generally kept a middle of the road "we don't like the stereotypes, but it's artsy" type of position. Disney has kept it unreleased entirely on its own.

More info is available from the urban legend reference site Snopes.

Welles' THE OTHER SIDE OF THE WIND

Maybe not 100% complete but I'd still like someone to release it.

Also, his OTHELLO, minus all the "restoration" work that was done, along with "Filming Othello"

Seven Minutes in Heaven...I must have watched this movie every single time it came on HBO. I wish I still had my VHS copy.

Breaking The Rules ( 1992 )

Jason Bateman's character is dying of cancer, and he persuades his two friends, played by Jonathan Silverman and C. Thomas Howell, to go on a road trip to California. There's a classic moment when Silverman's character goes on a date with some hot blonde he just met. They're both relaxing by a fireplace, getting more intimate with each other. Out of nowhere, the blonde goes, " did you know the Jews killed our Lord? " She then proceeds to preach gospel for the rest of the date.

Good movie that probably has no chance of a DVD release.
